"BREWSTER F2A-2 BUFFALO!"
LIMITED EDITION PRINT 11"X14" framed under glass and signed by the artist with Certificate of Authenticity and complete description.
This painting depicts a Brewster F2A-2 Buffalo from fighting squadron VF2, flying from the aircraft carrier USS Lexington in Hawaiian waters in the spring of 1941. In just a few months, at the beginning of World War Two, this aircraft type would be deemed obsolete and carrier squadrons would become uniformly equipped with Grumman F4F Wildcats. This aircraft type did, however, participate in the defense of Wake Island in the hands of Marine pilots and served valiantly with the British and Dutch in Southeast Asia.
