This painting depicts a McDonnell Douglas F4-D Phantom from the 183rd Tactical Fighter Group, Illinois Air National Guard, shortly after refueling from a Boeing KC-135 tanker from the126th Air Refueling Wing of the Illinois Air National Guard. "Sir, refueling complete. Have a nice day" is the common salutation given to the pilot of the receiving aircraft from the refueling boom operator of the KC-135 after a successful refueling.
