Nothing quite compares with the view of Chicago at night from the air and it made a perfect backdrop for this Boeing KC-135 tanker from the126th Air Refueling Wing of the Illinois Air National Guard, at the time of this painting, based at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. Of course, the purist would point out that the tanker's boom would not be extended at this altitude and location, but some artistic license shows the Illinois Air National Guard markings on the boom's wings. This painting can be found in the Base Commander's collection, 126th Air Refueling Wing.
