"MACH TWO"

LIMITED EDITION PRINT 11"X14" framed under glass and signed by the artist with Certificate of Authenticity and complete description.

The original painting was produced as a commemorative gift from the men and women of the 183rd Tactical Fighter Group, Illinois Air National Guard to their Commanding Officer, Colonel Richard Eslinger on the event of the group's 35th anniversary. The painting depicts Colonel Eslinger with one of the unit's McDonnell Douglas F-4D Phantom aircraft on the flight line at the group's headquarters at Capital Airport, Springfield, Illinois. Rumor has it that the Colonel earned his nickname "Mach Two" by being the first pilot in the unit to press the F-4D aircraft past twice the speed of sound.
