Trumpeter's 1/32 scale F-100 Super Sabre and F-8 Crusader model kits both contain inaccurate engine accessory covers and fin units for the front of the J57 jet engine. This simple single piece resin improvement casting requiring minimum alteration to kit part G3 for installation will give your model a more accurate appearance. For those who wish to display the J57 engine separate from the aircraft, this improvement provides not only an accurate appearance but also a basis for super detailing. This J57 engine accessory cover and fin unit improvement was developed from technical manual and photographic reference as well as the generous assistance of MSgt. David W. Menard, U. S. A. F. Ret. Complete with instructions for installation as show below, assembly may be used for static display or easily modified to allow stator shaft to rotate and is easily assembled with BSI MAXI-CURE™  cyanoacrylate adhesive.
