COCKPIT FINISHING KIT

Designed for Hasagawa's P-47D Thunderbolt kit and to integrate perfectly with those great Avionix resin cockpit interior kits, our finishing kit provides all the visible details lacking from both mentioned items. Our crystal clear PETG plastic vacuum-formed canopy highlights the intricate detail to be found in the canopy retraction mechanism and crossbar that sits behind our accurately shaped and detailed armor plate. Canopy interior framework and locking handle is provided as well. Add to this a seated USAAF fighter pilot with accurate gear and positioned to fit perfectly into your "Jug" model, and this finishing set will provide you with a show-stopper! As a bonus, we've included an accurate empty seat, complete in every detail, for those who like to build sans-pilot and with the hood cranked open. By the way, the heads and arms of the pilot of this kit interchange with our USAAF Fighter Pilot, kit #32011, for further variety in building.

Installation requires only minor trimming to the fuselage halves of the Hasagawa kit and the armor plate/bulkhead piece fits either the Avionix or kit floor piece perfectly. For the first time, in this kit, all shapes, angles and details of the P-47D bulkhead armor have been perfectly captured. All parts except the canopy are cast in high grade polyurethane resin and this kit contains no tedious photo-etch parts. Complete assembly and installation instructions are included.
